It’s fitting that we announce the project on a rainy afternoon considering you’re probably gonna wanna stay inside and cozy up by Lowgritt’s warm and toasty vintage keyboard and synth sounds while Cheraki’s powerful yet smooth vocals unfurl her lyrical examination of the “She” on this “Neo-Soultronica” masterpiece. The album brings to mind groups and singers like Sia, Erykah Badu, or Morcheeba- but is truly unique in its own right. Always great to see talented local artists take a risk on something new and “weird” and have it end up wonderful- but we’ll let you be the final judge of that.
